The United States (U.S.) Fulbright Program is an initiative designed to expand perspectives, global connections, and understanding by providing grants to support academic and proffesional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue through connections with more than 140 countries worldwide. Each year, thousands of potential Fulbrighters apply to study, teach, or preform independent research projects abroad. The successful applicants are provided with organizational and financial support to allow them the opportunity to meet, work, and live with the people of their host country.
